Use of the EMAS Logo

4. GUIDE TO THE USE OF THE LOGO IN ADVERTISING THE PARTICIPATION OF THE ORGANIZATION TO THE SYSTEM [article 8, paragraph 2, letter d) of the regulation (EC) n. 761/2001]

4.1. General requirements

The use of the logo (first version) in accordance with Article 8, paragraph 2, letter d) is intended to inform the public and interested parties that the organization is registered.
Therefore it is necessary that the logo is clearly and exclusively attributed to the registered organization. Any confusion with organizations not registered with EMAS must be avoided.

Organizations registered in the EMAS system and communication service providers performing services on their behalf must not create the impression that they are compliant with EMAS requirements, if this does not correspond to reality.
