B- The possible advantages of security certification

As already experienced worldwide for the Environment with the ISO 14001 certification, also the safety certification should bring added value to the company and to the organization in general.

The certification gives value to the assets of the company, makes management more efficient, nor improves its image, gives credibility to third-party customers, suppliers, contractors.

The problems of Environment and Security have similar dynamics in companies, often overlap and / or some are the cause of others. A dividing line between the two problems does not correspond to reality. For this reason we are already active in ways of integrating Environmental, Safety and Quality Management Systems in order to save resources and regain efficiency.

The possible benefits resulting from the certification depend on the type of activity of the company and the conditions in which it operates. Below are listed, without priority order:

• strengthened and documented control of compliance with the law
• economic return from increased efficiency in the use of resources
• greater contractual capacity (protection or increase in market shares)
• facilitation of property transactions (where the environmental and security factor is relevant)
• better relationships with investors, insurance companies, financial institutions
• better internal relationships (workers, etc.) and external (local communities, etc.) to the company
